This work uses photographs to explore my fascination with architecture, design, color, pattern and repetition. I discovered that certain images, when multiplied, create a new reality. The resulting image is both familiar and also totally new. My inspiration comes from the rich visual environments of Italy, India and South East Asia and also from photographing and deconstructing my own paintings and collection of textiles.
The idea of juxtaposing single images came when I tossed two identical pictures onto my desk and they fell in a manner that connected them in a startling way. Eureka! I started with physical photos and glue. Then I discovered Photoshop and the world exploded with possibilities that continue to expand almost daily.
* All images available in various sizes, 18"x24" and larger up to 36"x54". For size information and pricing please contact Janice at firstname.lastname@example.org
